The initial feasibility study identified the impact that Labat Healthcare will have on the local and national economy and very importantly, the significant contribution to employment opportunities and the value creation to its shareholders. The plan is to play a leading role in the development of the SA Industrial Hemp and Medical Cannabis Industry with a focus on value creation in the economy.

The business fundamentals are based on a vertically integrated value chain operating from Cannabis seed to Pharmaceutical Active Pharmaceutical Ingredient sales, as well as supply and distribution of finished dose form for the Complementary Medicines Industry.

The proposed business model covers the entire value chain – from planting the seeds to brand retail sales. The plan is to grow Labat’s own brand of recreational and medicinal cannabis called Knuckle Genetics (a high THC content of plus 30%) for supply to international markets. Labat Pharmaceuticals will extract THC and CBD oils and purify these raw materials to world class Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients quality – these products will have Drug Master Files registered worldwide and we will thus ensure international Regulatory Approvals.
