Labat Healthcare / Warehouse
Labat is piloting a Healthcare Warehouse, which will be a one-stop-source for cannabis-derivative products. The proposed facility will house a comprehensive range of legal cannabis-related merchandise, and will open to the public during regular trading hours, though the possibility of 24/7 trade is being explored.
We are particularly passionate about medical marijuana and its myriad benefits, and we are committed to sharing this with our customers. With this in view, we will have a dispensary license which will facilitate the retailing of cannabis products which fall within regulated dispensary guidelines. The Cannabis Warehouse will be staffed by highly-trained product specialists, including registered pharmacists, who will be able to consult with customers and provide them with the most up-to-date information available on cannabis use. This will allow consumers to make informed choices and receive the best possible cannabis-related treatments available.
Expansion plans include establishing Labat Cannabis Warehouses country-wide through a franchising model. In keeping with Labat’s transformation agenda, all franchisee owners will be properly vetted based on BEE compliance (must be at least 51% black owned), as well as all relevant legal and statutory vetting. Labat Healthcare South Africa, will pre-negotiate funding for the future Franchise owners from the Industrial Development Corporation (IDC), the National Empowerment Fund (NEF) and the Small Enterprise Finance Agency (SEFA).
